This 5 day course is delivered within a retreat environment. It’s a small group course (8 to 12 people), with 2 to 3 instructors to provide support for individual learning. 

WHO IS THIS COURSE FOR?

The Level 1 Professional Training course is intended for therapists/practitioners who wish to expand their practice to include a focus on interoceptive awareness and mindfulness-based practices. While designed for mental health professionals and bodywork therapists who have experience working with mental health issues, this course may also be appropriate for health care practitioners in other disciplines or mindfulness-based teachers who work individually with clients.

• Dates: Sunday December 1, 2019 – Friday December 6, 2019
• Program begins at 2 pm on Sunday and ends 1pm on Friday.

Join us for a 5-day intensive MABT Professional Training (Level 1) course on Whidbey Island! Here we will teach practitioners the delivery of evidence-based approach Mindful Awareness in Body-oriented Therapy (MABT).  MABT teaches clients how develop interoceptive awareness (awareness of internal body sensations) and related skills for self-care and emotion regulation.  It is particularly helpful for clients who are disconnected from their bodies due to stress, pain or chronic physical or mental health conditions.

Space is limited to 12 participants. CEU certificates will be provided at the end of training.

Please note: December 1^st is the Sunday immediately following Thanksgiving.  If you are flying into Seattle, we suggest you purchase tickets asap to be sure you can find affordable options!  For people flying into Seattle, there is shuttle service to Whidbey Island for $86/RT to Langley/Clinton (be sure to reserve on the website and we’ll arrange pick up and drop off at the shuttle stop).

A refund (minus a $50 non-refundable deposit) will be made for cancellations submitted in writing 60 days prior to the training. No refunds will be allowed after that date.
