Gala Transformed: Gratitude & Hope
September 25, 2021
Saturday, September 25, 2021, from 3–5:30 pm
Join us in community at the Whidbey Institute for Gala Transformed: Gratitude & Hope, a joyful, in-person program.
In light of shifting COVID-19 conditions, we will host a simplified in-person event with tours of the new Commons gathering space, a short program, and take-home desserts from Chef Christyn Johnson. We are so excited to gather with you on the land! This outdoor program is COVID and weather dependent, and will shift to online if warranted by public health or weather conditions.
Join and let us thank you directly for your care, love, and support through 18+ months of challenges unlike any we’ve encountered before. We’ll keep our program brief and allow plenty of time for connecting in community. You will be invited to make a donation of any size to support the land and the organization you love.
Dreaming into our collective future, and exploring what comes next, join an optional walking tour of the completed Caretaker Cabin and “under construction” Commons gathering space, each built with funding from donors like you. With yet one more structure funded and ready to construct, come learn what’s emerging next! Join us as we share our hopes for the future and lean into the question of how we best serve the dramatically changing needs of our many communities and the earth.
This is an informal event on the Heartland campus. Please dress for comfort!
- Tickets are $30 per person.
- Masks are required indoors and in high-density outdoor areas.
- We’ll ask for your affidavit that you have either been fully vaccinated for COVID-19 or tested negative within 72 hours prior to arrival.
- In the event of rain or shifting public health conditions we’ll shift to an online format. In that event, we’ll notify you 24–48 hours in advance and refund your ticket purchase price upon request. As of Tuesday, September 21, the forecast looks good for a beautiful weekend!
You’re also invited to Gala Transformed: Storytelling & Sensemaking, an online program on October 14.
