This is the final in a series of three 2014 Ayurvedic herbal workshops at the Whidbey Institute with Kumudini Shoba.
The season of Fall is bittersweet. The fall colors are beautiful and crispy air is so sweet, and yet we know cold and dark is coming. It’s time to get ready for the winter. Ayurveda offers a look at wellness using nature; how to use food and herbs to strengthen immunity. Autumn is an ideal time to harvest roots and make tonics that keep you warm and healthy throughout heavy cold winter months and help you stay light and strong!
Kumudini is from a family in Sri Lanka with a long “Vaidhya” (healer) tradition. She is a Master Herbalist who has studied both eastern and western herbs. She also has a master’s degree in bio-organic chemistry.
