“Part of the Whidbey Institute’s path is to help people find their own authentic center point, the place in themselves where they are able to be at ease, to be resilient, to be flexible, and to be at peace.” —Joel Shrut

Community Rights Organizing Group Action Meeting

July 15, 2015

Join us for this focused strategy meeting from 7 to 9 pm on Wednesday, July 15 at Impact Hub Seattle.
A continuation of our work exploring the democracy school framework as a tool for building grassroots legal power to protect Seattle communities against corporate exploitation. Our main focus now is building a broad-based coalition of organizations/people to support the co-creation of a Seattle Community Bill of Rights. We will be deciding how and where to focus our energy in the coming months.

Salish Sea Bioneers (a program of the Whidbey Institute) and 350 Seattle are teaming up to offer this action-oriented, leadership-full dialogue about grassroots community rights activism in Seattle.
