EDCC Farm Staff Training
June 14 - June 16
This event is closed to public enrollment.
The Edmonds CC Campus Community Farm started in March 2012. Since then, over 350 individuals have volunteered their time in the farm, 100 more have visited, 1000 volunteer hours have been served, and an estimated 500+ pounds of produce have been harvested. The goal of the campus community farm is to bring a diverse array of students, faculty, and staff around sustainable living practices and take advantage of an under-utilized space.
The farm boasts over 20 raised beds, a variety of perennial edible trees and shrubs, a collection of bee-loving flowers, an edible rain garden, and a hoop house. The site also includes a solar powered cistern, green roof, and cultural kitchen. Contributors of the garden have many exciting plans for the future as well. The Campus Green Fund has made many of these projects possible.
