Jacquelyn Strickland has been a licensed professional counselor since 1993 and has worked exclusively with highly sensitive people since 1999. Besides a graduate degree in counseling, her background in social work, women’s studies and cultural diversity have informed her work since first finding out about her own HSP trait in May of 1996.
She co-founded the national and international HSP Gathering Retreats™ with Dr. Elaine Aron in 2001, and since then there have been 35 (and counting) HSP Gathering Retreats, nationally and internationally. Although no longer in private practice, she continues her work via speaking engagements, consulting, mentoring, education, coaching, retreats and workshops, and via on-line classes which focus on the journey to empowerment for the HSP.
To learn a bit more about the genetic trait of Sensory Processing Sensitivity (HSP) you are invited to view this 5 minute video from Jacquelyn and this 6 minute video from Dr. Elaine Aron. Elaine will be our guest speaker at the 36th HSP Gathering Retreat on Saturday, September 28th.
