Philanthro∙be retreats are for informed, intentional, and joyful women who are interested in nurturing their generosity and making a difference in their community.
Give yourself the space, time and structure to explore your values and passions in order to align your actions with what fulfills and motivates you. From this you will develop a personalized plan for giving, recognizing that we each carry a unique portfolio of currencies, including money, time, and skills. A past participant declared, “art is my currency!”
Philanthropy is a daily practice, encouraging us to appreciate others, use our whole selves to impact our communities, and clearly see the many ways in which we’re able to strengthen our generous hearts, beginning with ourselves.
We will enjoy organic, locally sourced food and wine, and experience reflective walks through the 100 acres of northwest woodland. Indulge in the company of other women who want to discuss and tackle the systemic problems in our communities, while also having fun. Most significantly, this retreat is designed for women who are hungry to discover what it means to have enough, in order to give more.
“Things really start to fall into place when you stop asking, ‘what can I get?’ and start asking, ‘what can I give?'” —Sarah, 2013 retreat participant
