Dear Salish Sea Bioneers and other interested community members,
We’re looking forward to seeing some of you at our gathering next Wednesday!
Our Salish Sea Bioneers Network Community Gathering is a monthly recurring event. February’s focus is SELF-CARE, and our guest presenter is Erin Merrihew! We’ll look at how we can cultivate self-care in community to sustain our great work in the world.
Why: To connect with ourselves and others in a supportive community of folks who care deeply about the world. To adapt breakthrough national solutions from Bioneers to meet needs within our own bioregion and local communities.
When: Wednesday, February 11th from 7:00-9:00pm. Please arrive promptly.
Where: Impact Hub Seattle.
What to Bring: Last month, the group decided that we’d love to include a light potluck as a part of our community gathering. So, we invite you to bring a healthy snack/small food dish with you on Wednesday to share with the group, if you choose.
Who: Bioneers participants, Seattle launch party participants, and friends!
Guest Presenter/Theme: Erin Merrihew helps people find ways to communicate effectively, create stronger relationships in their lives, and live from the heart. Her work looks through the lens of Dr. Marshall Rosenberg’s theory of Nonviolent Communication to see our shared humanity and find a pathway toward more authenticity, connection, and harmony with each other and our planet.
On Wednesday, Erin will offer a segment exploring self-care: how ‘recharging our own batteries’ is essential to creating meaningful change in the world. Together we will experience the power of empathy, brainstorm in small groups what self-care might look like in each of our unique lives, and explore how we can build robust systems of support.
We hope to see you there!
