Sustaining Your Organization by Sustaining Yourself

February 13, 2014

Do your efforts on behalf of your nonprofit drain you, making it difficult to remain balanced? This session will reconnect you to the deep internal wells that sustain you, so you can sustain your organization.
We’ll explore how simple steps that fit into busy lives can result in more intentional stewardship of your spirit and the relationships that feed you, so you can change the world. Treat yourself to the restorative nature of the beautiful buildings, forested landscape and delicious local food of The Whidbey Institute on Whidbey Island.

Susan Howlett has been strengthening nonprofits for 40 years, as a board member, development director, executive director, and – for the last 25 years – as a consultant to thousands of nonprofits nationwide. Author, speaker and UW faculty, Susan inspires nonprofit leaders with her practical solutions to systemic problems, with humor, stories, spirit, and chocolate.
