“Part of the Whidbey Institute’s path is to help people find their own authentic center point, the place in themselves where they are able to be at ease, to be resilient, to be flexible, and to be at peace.” —Joel Shrut

Warrior Monk Open House

August 7, 2016

Join us at 7 pm in Thomas Berry Hall.
All are welcome at this two and a half hour free evening session with Warrior Monk founder Dan McKee. Enjoy  time together at the Whidbey Institute while getting a glimpse of Warrior Monk! To learn more, email danmckee@awakeninglife.org.

Warrior Monk is an integral and experiential retreat designed to help you step more fully into life. The training has been refined and practiced for over 20 years and in more than 100 retreats—some as far away as New Zealand, Australia and England, and many right here at the Whidbey Institute.

We have a special place in our hearts for this program at the Whidbey Institute, and many of our staff members have been graced with the opportunity to participate in the retreat. Members of our team have experienced profound positive change in their own lives as a result of participating, and we are proud to host this work as part of our service to our community and mission.

Staff member Marnie Jackson wrote, “Warrior Monk is one of our favorite programs to host because we love the leadership so much, and because it helps create the kind of change that serves the world. We have a mission to shift the way people relate to themselves, to the natural world, and to community in generative ways. Warrior Monk seems to be a vital tool for creating that kind of shift on a personal level . . .  it feels like an important ingredient in this recipe of right relationships.”
