Winter Gathering Reconvening

March 6 @ 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Free
This gathering has been cancelled due to important, conflicting local action events tonight:
Monday, March 6, 7 to 8 pm: Town Hall—Island County Government 101 with County Commissioner Helen Price Johnson and former Island County Democrats Chair, Art Huffine. This meeting will be a primer on how County and State governments work. At Clinton Community Hall.
Mondays, March 6 and March 20, 5:30 pm: Inclusive City Langley—The Council will present and vote on the second reading of the Inclusive Resolution at one of their upcoming meetings. This could happen as soon as March 6 or at the following meeting on March 20. At Langley City Hall.

Original event listing:

An invitational gathering limited to 2017 Winter Gathering participants.

We welcome those who participated in the Winter Gathering in January to gather in Storyhouse; to continue the rich conversations that started at the Gathering; to nurture new connections; to engage in local community building; and to develop further action steps.

We encourage you to bring a potluck dish to share.

The evening will be lightly facilitated by Heather Johnson. Rick, Peggy, and Victoria are enthusiastic about our coming together, but this is not formally a continuation of the Gathering.

This reconvening was inspired by a conversation between Heather and Deborah Koff-Chapin during the last lunch on Sunday, when they imagined how having those who live locally come back together might help everyone maintain momentum and uplift.

There is no cost to attend; donations for support of the work of the Whidbey Institute and land are always welcome.
