The Whidbey Institute is seeking an individual to join the Place Team in a part-time position. The Place Team is responsible for the upkeep and care of the land and facilities on our 106-acre conservation forest campus and trail system.
This is a non-exempt position, working 12 to 15 hours per week over two to four days (Monday through Thursday) with scheduling flexibility. This is a physically demanding position.
Starting wage is $22 per hour, increasing to $24 per hour upon satisfactory completion of a three-month trial period.
The person in this position will assist the Place Team with a wide variety of maintenance tasks including weed whacking, mowing, noxious weed removal, trail work, gutter cleaning, power washing, and helping to prepare the campus for retreats. They will be comfortable working both independently and in collaboration with the team.
