Staff member Marnie Jackson will be hosting an open Zoom channel on Wednesdays from 10 am to 11 am Pacific Time to connect with our community. As a person with white privilege, Marnie is reflecting on the traits of white supremacy culture, as described by Tema Okun and Kenneth Jones. How do these traits stand in the way of effective anti-racist action? What does collective liberation ask of us? How can white folks support Black organizers on the ground, in communities around the nation and here on Whidbey Island? To discuss these questions or whatever is up for you, email [email protected] for the Zoom link.
