Reconnecting with Gratitude & Hope
September 17, 2022
You are invited to return to the Whidbey Institute to enjoy a few hours or a whole day. The campus is so beautiful and we’ve not had the opportunity to share it with our greater community since last fall.
We’ve designed a day with something for everyone: reconnecting with community, enjoying beautiful spaces and engaging in conversations about what is next for the Whidbey Institute and how we can best serve in these challenging times.
Come back to the Whidbey Institute to enjoy the things you love most: good friends, good food, and inspired conversations in a beloved place. We’d love to see you!
Guests are encouraged to arrive early or stay later to continue with the fun.
See the agenda below for a complete list of the day’s events and times.
11:30 Welcome and Announcements
12:00 Lunch catered by Executive Chef, Christyn Johnson
1:15 Conversations and Connections – Two Choices!
- Conversation Circles – For those inspired to reflect together, we will gather in small circles around the campus facilitated by circle hosts. Share with us your answer to “What is next for the Whidbey Institute?”. With all that this place and our community has to share, what are your hopes for the impact we can make going forward? Who do you see us serving in the years to come? What will the Whidbey Institute’s legacy be in the years ahead?
- Connect with the Land – For those most interested in reconnecting with the land, hike the trails, walk the labyrinth, visit the gardens, play games in the meadow, visit new buildings and your favorite gathering spaces.
- Sacred Morning – Self guided time in the sanctuary or on the labyrinth. Hike the trails in silence. Meditate in the Meadow. Come back and connect deeply with this healing place.
- Connect with the Land – Tour the facilities, introduce your friends and family to your favorite trail, walk the labyrinth, visit the gardens, or sit in the meadow. Tour the new buildings and visit your favorite gathering spaces.
