Pride Beyond Borders: The State of Global LGBTIQ Rights with Outright International

With Katie Hultquist and Amie Bishop, MSW, MPH

June 20, 2024

In many areas of the world, LGBTIQ people face persecution, inequality and violence. Despite recent gains, same-sex acts are still criminalized in over 60 counties. Come hear about the challenges facing LGBTIQ people across the globe, as well as learn about the gains that have been made and successes that we can celebrate.

South Whidbey Pride is excited to host presenters from Outright International, the leading global LGBTIQ rights non-governmental organization that addresses human rights violations and abuses against lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and intersex people. Outright International partners with activists, advocates, media, non-government agencies, and allies across the globe as well as holding consultative status at the United Nations.

This is a free event and is expected to last about an hour and a half.

Registration is required for this free event to help us anticipate room capacity and parking accommodations. Please ensure all guests in your party have registered.
